Wabi Sabi is the Japanese philosophy of discovering the beauty in imperfection. The aesthetic concept has existed since the 16th century and is one of the top trends for 2018. It means that homes don’t always have to look like showrooms, they should feel comfortable and authentic. The furnishing in Wabi Sabi style work with untreated linen, rough wooden furniture or patina leather.

After the 80’s revival in fashion, Pop Colours are now moving into our homes. Vivid colours attract attention and provide targeted accents. In this way, you can create new highlights in simple-styled rooms. Want some examples? Bright red tones such as "Hot Red" and "Cherry Tomato" are suitable for the personal red carpet or as wall paint. The Pantone colour “Ultra Violet” is unconventional and creates a balanced, dramatic atmosphere.

Things will be round in 2018! We focus on round shapes this year - lamps, mirrors, wall decorations and furniture will be circular. The shape of the circle symbolises infinity, energy and community. Round shapes replace angular designs and clear lines or break them up in a new style. In this way, our own four walls become more inviting and get a cozy charm; the round table becomes the centre of the room.
